For a second consecutive day, weather drastically reduced the number of sporting events played in our area Wednesday. Here are recaps of a few which were held.
It was dry enough in Straughn for North Decatur to get its softball game in with Tri High. The Chargers topped the Titans 16-4 after scoring 11 runs in the sixth inning.
North collected 15 hits. Four came off the bat of Keesha Crosland which included a home run. Kacie Ogden, Sarah Swain and Kaylin Muckerhide all had a multi-hit day. Ogden also had a team-high three steals.
Rushville also took on Tri at home in girls tennis. The Lions lost 3-2. Audrey Gulley and Jin Calaf won first and third singles respectively for Rushville.
We thank everyone who contributed to the recaps.
