For the second time this week, Greensburg defeated a county rival. Thursday in Westport, the Pirates beat South Decatur in three games: 25-7, 25-11 and 25-11.
Greensburg coach June Rigney said, “We were fairly efficient with our performance and kept our errors to a minimum. Ella Chapman was effective with 16 kills, followed by Josie Nobbe with 12. Strong serving came from Abigail Hoeing who was 15-15 with 3 aces while Christina Fogg was 15-15 as well. Jenna Foster put up 26 assists while Hoeing and Fogg were both busy defensively with 15 digs. It was a solid night for us. We are now 11-1.”
