CAMP ATTERBURY, IN — Governor Eric Holcomb joined Indiana Adjutant General Dale Lyles during a visit to Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh Wednesday to learn more about “Operation: Allies Welcome.”

The Governor also visited with some of the Afghan evacuees who are being housed there on a temporary basis.

The evacuees are staying in the Hoosier State as part of a federal mission with the support of the Indiana National Guard.

Task Force Atterbury, which consists of active-duty and National Guard service members, is providing housing, medical attention, logistics, and transportation to the Afghans.
