The Lady Twisters played the Lady Raiders in the nightcap of a boy/girl soccer doubleheader Tuesday and won 5-0. Oldenburg came into the game winning four straight after starting the season off 0-2-0.
OA was held to one goal in the first half which was scored by junior Evelyn Storms.
“I think we came out a little flat,” said Twister coach Andrew Alig. “The wind was also a challenge going against us in the first half, so we couldn’t get the ball downfield off our goalie kicks.”
The Twisters then exploded in the second half with two goals by sophomore Isabel Price plus one each from seniors Kate Walke and Emma Weberding.
We thank Oldenburg AD Patrick Kolks and coach Alig for the information.
