The Batesville Community Education Foundation (BCEF) is sponsoring two events this weekend as the school celebrates Homecoming.
A pasta dinner will be held at the Batesville Intermediate School from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The public is welcome and reservations are not required. Proceeds from the free-will dinner will benefit the BCEF.
“The pasta dinner is a great way to get dinner between the homecoming parade and the football game,” said BCEF administrator Kelly Poltrack.
The foundation will be sponsoring the first annual Batesville K12 Race beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Runners can run the entire 12K as an individual or as part of a 4-person relay team. Interested participants can register prior to the start of the race.
“It is supposed to be beautiful day and we have a bunch of entertainment,” Poltrack noted.
Entertainment includes the Batesville High School Dance Team, Dixieland Quartet Band, BHS Cheerleaders and the Indiana Pacers Fan Van.
The Batesville 12K Race begins and finishes downtown at the Village Square. Proceeds benefit BCEF to support grant requests from BCSC faculty, teams, clubs, and school groups.
