The OA Lady Twisters Softball team traveled to Shaw Memorial on Wednesday, April 28th for their first game in a week winning 9-7.
“I was a little worried about how much rust we were going to have to shake off. But our girls played awesomely, and I’m very proud of them.” Coach Randy Schoettmer said after the game. This was Coach Schoettmer’s first victory as the head coach for the Twisters. The Lady Twisters found themselves in a deep hole after the first inning, down 5-0. After that, the bats came alive and they took advantage of some miscues by the Hilltoppers. The Twisters didn’t take a hold of the lead until the top of the 7th when they scored 4 runs.
They look to keep their winning ways going as they travel to South Decatur on Wednesday, April 28th for a 5:00 PM first pitch.
