Barbara Jean Weber, age 75 of Batesville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
The daughter of Phillip Jr and Dorothy (Grainy) Stegman was born on March 20, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Barbara was a vibrant loving woman. She loved to go dancing at the Cheyenne Cattle Company and listen to local bands. She even saw Brenda Lee at the Beverly Hills Supper club. Barbara was raised on Sisters Hill in Delhi with her cousins and went blackberry picking across the street. She was a very family oriented person, being the oldest out of 2 brothers and the youngest out of her cousins. The Oak Hills High School graduate, worked most of her life as an aide in hospitals and nursing homes but her first job was working at Delhi Chili. She got engaged in Maryland to Frank Weber Jr. and had a military life. She loved being married to Frank and having children. Barbara loved celebrating birthdays and the holidays. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and cousin. She loved playing spades and penny ante poker along with going camping and family vacations. All those things she did as big family adventures. Saturday was always family dinner time with her brother, sister and nephew. She loved when he made carrots and ribs. Barbara always loved her life even when she was dealt a bad hand. Animals were another favorite of hers. Growing up she was surrounded by dogs, and just loved the Dalmatian we had and enjoyed Shadow when he would come to visit. Barbara looked forward to her shopping spree to Walmart with her sister. She got to see her great nieces grow up which gave her joy. Her 3 boys as she called them meant the world to her. She was a special woman who her daughters adored as a mother.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Huff of Batesville and Tracy Weber of Takoda Trails in Forrest Park; along with her brother, Myron (Regina) Stegman of Batesville.
In addition to her parents and husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Weber and brother Ernie Stegman.
Friends and family may call from 1-3pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021 followed by 3:00pm Memorial Service all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Rev. Shawn Crisman officiating.
