Southeastern, IN — Sargent Steven Wheeles with the Indiana State Police Versailles Post says that due to heavy rains and melting snow, many of the rural roads in low-lying areas are flooded and continue to be impassable throughout the district.
Emergency personnel have responded to multiple water rescues and disabled vehicles due to people attempting to drive through the water over the last couple of days. Please do not drive through water that is covering a road. It does not take very deep water to disable your vehicle or to sweep your vehicle off the road.
