Cardinals Fall Short Against Raiders In Basketball Action

The St. Louis Cardinals hosted the South Ripley Raiders.  The 7th-Grade gentlemen ended with a score of 42-35. 

‘While we may not have got the win it was a great game.  I haven’t seen this drive and determination out of these guys in a few games.  It is always so much fun to watch them when they get in their moment and play to their level.’ Cardinals Coach Erin Trenkamp.  

Scoring for SLS were Caleb Mohr with 13 pts and 1 assist, Jaiden Kuria with 6 pts, 10 rebounds and 3 assists, Nash King with 6 pts and 1 rebound, Ben Greiwe with 5 pts, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist, Jack Freeland with 5 pts, and Vincent Meneses pulling in a rebound for us.

All of the guys worked super hard the whole game and gave those Raiders a run for it.  Nice job gentlemen!

The 8th Grade Boys Basketball from St. Louis took on South Ripley on Thursday, December 17th.  Despite a good effort the Cardinals ending up losing by a final score of 70-14. 

The leading scorer for the Cardinals was Sam Laloge with 5 points, followed by Christian Mack and Ryan Duerstock with 3 points, Max Amberger with 2 points, and Adam Meer with 1 point.  Laloge also led the team in rebounds with 7 and had 2 blocks.  Meer snatched 6 rebounds and had 2 steals. 

The Cardinals next game is Tuesday, January 5th when they travel to Lawrenceburg to take on Greendale.
