Bernard Rex Stith, 86, of Sunman, Indiana passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his home ending his cancer journey. Rex was born on April 28, 1934 in Sunman, Indiana to Bernard and Olive (Brinkman) Stith. He graduated from Sunman High School and Cincinnati Commercial Art School. He married his high school sweetheart, Twila Mae Ertel, and they celebrated 66 years of marriage in June. He worked as an artist at Burroughs Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio, until he transitioned careers to assistant cashier at Peoples Bank & Trust Co. in Sunman.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Twila Stith of Sunman, Indiana; daughter, Kim (Stith) Zimmerman of Sunman, Indiana; 4 grandchildren Kenton (Alexandra) Zimmerman of Newport, Rhode Island, Anthony (Brigitte) Stith of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Joseph (Amy) Stith of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Lindsey (Zimmerman) (Matt) Clark of Kingsport, Tennessee; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Douglas Stith, and son Gregory Stith.
A private family service will be held at a later date with burial at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Sunman, Indiana.
