Versailles, IN — The Ripley County Health Department has issued a new order due to the county’s Red status on the states Covid-19 County Metric map. The goal of the restrictions, according to Dr. David Welsh, County Health Officer, is to mitigate the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the community.
The following restrictions are in place as of Thursday, November 19:
Food Service:
• Food establishments shall maintain a 50% occupancy, Bars 25% occupancy, and those seated at the bar must be at least 6 feet apart.
• 6-foot separation of all seating is required
• No more than one household per socially distant table is allowed.
• No buffets permitted or self-service drink stations.
• Carry-out/delivery/ or Curbside pickup is recommended.
Personal Services:
• Physical fitness class sizes should be limited to maintain social distancing.
• Equipment must be spaced to accommodate 6-foot social distancing and sanitized after each use.
• Salons must close waiting areas and have clients only enter at scheduled appointment times, with no more than one client per stylist.
Other
• Offices are recommended to be open by appointment only.
• Highly recommended that employees work from home if possible.
• Events over 25 people, inside or outside, must submit an event plan to the Ripley County Health Department.
Schools
• At this time sports are limited to participants, support personnel, and two parents/guardians. All non-competing and non-performing participants, support personnel, and attendees are required to wear face coverings at all times.
