Greensburg, IN — Today from 11 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm, the Greensburg Police Department will be at Pizza King on North Lincoln Street for Cover The Cruiser. Cover The Cruiser is a benefit for Special Olympics both at the local and state level. 100 percent of the donations will go to Special Olympics for programs for our athletes due to COVID Special Olympics has not been able to hold fundraisers.
This fundraiser will take place at two different locations where social distancing can take place. The goal for the fundraiser is to collect donations, and in return, the public will be able to place a card for Special Olympics on a police car. Our goal is to cover the entire Cruiser with cards.
The second event will be held at Rural King on Saturday, October 31, from 9 am to 2 pm.
