ECVB played our final home match of the season last night and finished on top. Varsity won with the scores of 25-23, 25-21, 16-25, 25-19.
Due to an incredibly slow and painful start, we got down quick in set one. Before we knew it, we were down 12-23. Behind the serving of senior Emma Ertel, we went on 13-0 run to end the game on top 25-23. Set two was very back and forth and full of mini runs by both teams. Set three we struggled to pass on serve receive and couldn’t find a rhythm serving. The girls bounced back to finish the job in set four.
It wasn’t our best match, but the girls showed true GRIT! The fight in and determination the girls showed on the court was everything we needed to pull out that win.
Varsity is now 16-8 on the season.
Next up: we are at Greensburg tonight. JV starts at 5. This is for the conference championship.
