ECVB traveled to Shelbyville on Saturday. We were without our starting middle, Jessie Stenger (due to SATs), so we had to scramble to put in a new lineup. We tried a couple, but it didn’t seem to do the trick no matter who I had on the court and where. We struggled all day to get in a groove passing which led to a lot of free balls being sent over. We lost 17-25, 29-27, 11-25, 17-25.
Last night we hosted Jennings County and had a completely different performance. Our passing and serving set the tone for the night which allowed our offense to do the trick. When we win the serve/serve receive battle, we win games. It was a solid team performance. Every girl contributed and was a factor! We won 25-9, 25-18, 25-14.
Varsity is now 15-8 overall. Next up, Harrison on Wednesday.
