Statewide—Purdue Extension announced that events may resume July 1 in compliance with the Back on Track Indiana plan and advise from local public health officials as long as the State reaches Stage 5 of the plan.
This means 4-H fairs and 4-H events at county fairs could be held in July, though they will comply with social distancing guidelines, screening, and other health and safety restrictions as required. Please keep in mind that fairs and events will look different this summer. Restrictions and safety precautions will be required, and these will vary by community. Counties still have the option to chose to host a virtual experience for 2020. Please give your county extension staff the time and space they need to communicate full details with 4-H families and volunteers.
