Kathy Conrad passed away April 2, 2020 after a short battle with the Covid-19 Virus. Born on February 21, 1939 to Howard and Mary Matilda (Voegele) Decker, she was a life-long resident of Batesville. She was married to Virgil Freese and Larry Conrad both predeceased her.
She was the mother of three sons, Judge Robert (Karen) Freese, Dan (Lori) Freese, and Gary Freese; a proud Grandma to Jessica Freese (George) Turner, Michael (Abigail) Freese, Jenifer Freese (Kevin) Rollings, Jacob Shotwell, and Savannah Freese; and a Great-Granny to 7, Emma Kathryn, Olivia, Dominic, Kate, Conner, Madelyne, and Mariah.
Her brothers, Mike, Tom, and Dave predeceased her and she is survived by her brothers Tony and Eric, and sisters Mary, Tania, Becky and Talia.
Kathy spent over 50 years owning Freese’s Bar and the Big 4 Tavern. Her work ethic has been passed on to her children and grandchildren. She additionally received a certificate as a hairdresser later in life.
She was an avid Bingo player and was active in the Batesville VFW Post #3183 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Kathy will be missed by all who knew her.
Because of the social constraints, there will be a private viewing for family at Meyers Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at St. Louis Church Cemetery on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
