Greensburg, IN—The Decatur County Solid Waste Management office announced that Tox-a-Way was a huge success for us this year! Though wait times were longer than normal, this was due to a larger attendance (over 620) and over 86,000 more pounds of household hazardous wastes than in 2018.
This year was one of the biggest events we have ever for the organization.
Totals from this year’s event:
Household Hazardous Waste: 68,783 lbs.
Tires: 179,220 lbs.
Appliances: 28,860 lbs.
Electronics: 63,516 lbs.
DCSWM is very excited to announce that in 2020 it will be offering a spring and fall Tox-a-way Event.
