The 5th Grade Bulldogs played two afternoon contests this past Sunday at the Batesville High School Auxiliary Gym and came away with two more victories to improve to (15-1) on the season. In the first game of the day vs. Connersville, the squad found itself in a tight contest until the final minute of play. A steal and lay-up with a 1:30 to play by Brayden Maple gave the Bulldogs the lead they would not relinquish down the stretch in a game in which they trailed most of the way to win 25-19. Trenton Jordan led the Bulldogs with 10 points, Cayden Drake had 5, Maple and Jaiden Kuria 3, while Caleb Mohr and Owen Enneking rounded out the scoring with 2 each.
In Game two it was all Bulldogs from the outset and throughout as they routed East Central 54-8. Leading the way for Batesville in which all players cracked the scoring column was Kuria with 13, Drake and William Kuisel 8 each, Mohr, Landon Raver and Jordan with 6 each, Ethan Schneider 3, Enneking and Lincoln Garrett 2 each.
The 5th Graders will be in action again next Sunday afternoon, December 16th at BHS at times TBD. Go Bulldogs!!!
