Lawrenceburg, In. — Dearborn County Circuit Court Judge James Humphery has denied bail for Cody Wayne Booth, the man accused of killing a decorated Aurora Vietnam Veteran and his daughter.
Booth made his first court appearance yesterday after being extradited from a jail in Kentucky. The judge denied bail and set a trial date for November of 2018. If convicted he could receive up to 65-years in prison.
Booth and his girlfriend, Margie Lynn Thompson are accused of killing Walter Bryant and his daughter Faith Craig in their Aurora home in January of this year. Items taken from the home were found in tri-state pawn shops by detectives following the crime.
The judge also set a pre-trial conference for Booth in July and trial date in November of 2018. The judge also denied bail for Thompson.
