North Vernon, In. — The municipal pool in North Vernon will not open this year after a unanimous vote by city council.
An inspection following the 2017 revealed almost $35,00 of repairs needed to the liner to reopen. The liner was in 2003.
Because the pool has been a financial drain for the city officials are exploring their next move. The options include repairing the liner and concrete, build a new facility or close the pool permanently.
An evaluation of all options will be completed by leaders.
