Versailles, In. — A Versailles man has been sentenced to the maximum, 36-years after pleading guilty to child molesting in November of 2017. After denying the allegations during the investigation, Willie Craig Napier Jr. 33 entered a guilty plea during his trial.
Ripley County prosecutor Ric Hertel asked for the maximum sentence in the case because Napier was in a position of care and authority over the three victims, two are biological children.
Hertel said depositions from the three victims were difficult for them to give and even more difficult for investigators to document.
