The Batesville High School Wrestling team travelled to Franklin County for their annual multi team Invite on Saturday, January 13th.
The Bulldogs Started their day with a 45-15 victory over Northeastern to pick up their 3rd win of the season. The team then fell to EIAC opponents Franklin County, Connersville, and Lawrenceburg.
Sophmore JT Linkel led the team with a 4-0 record with 4 first period pins. Freshman Tyler Schaeffer picked up 2 wins with 1 pin while Senior Dallas Lamping and Freshman Jonathan Lamping each got 2 wins as well. Sophmore Axel Garcia pick up a pin to help the Bulldogs in their victory against Northeastern. Also getting wins on the day were Jonah Chase, Nick Nobbe, Jacob Weigel, Drew Grabarini, and Abram Garcia.
The Bulldogs will end their dual season on Monday at home against Knightstown as they will be celebrating Senior Night. The regular season will end next Saturday as they travel back to Franklin County for the EIAC tournament.
