Batesville, In. — Ivy Tech Community College has partnered with Bruns-Gutzwiller to provide scholarships to Ripley County high school students participating in the Ivy Manufacturing dual-enrollment program at the College’s Batesville site.
Bruns-Gutzwiller has pledged $15,000 over the next six years toward the scholarships, which will be, provided through the Ivy Tech Foundation. The scholarships will cover the costs of tuition, books, and other fees for the high school students.
“We are delighted to invest in local students and the regional workforce through this investment,” said Bruns-Gutzwiller President Thomas Bruns. “Through these scholarships and our partnership with Ivy Tech, we can introduce students to career opportunities and work toward boosting our regional economy.”
Ivy Manufacturing is a program offered at the College’s Lawrenceburg campus and Batesville site that introduces students to high-demand, well-paying careers in advanced manufacturing. Students are dual enrolled in high school and Ivy Tech and earn college credit through courses at Ivy Tech. Ripley County high school juniors and seniors attend classes at Ivy Tech as part of their regular schedule.
