The Batesville High School Girl’s Swim team opened their season winning seven events helping them earn the top spot in a triangular meet against South Dearborn and Switzerland County. Batesville scored 137 points while South Dearborn and Switzerland County scored 106 and 50, respectively.
The women opened the meet finishing first and second in the 200 medley relay. Freshman Sonja Gaulin took first place in the 200-freestyle (2:28.57) and 100-freestyle (1:10.22). Junior Kate Poltrack also won two events including the 50 (29.85) and 500 (6:36.41). Event winning performances were capped off by the 200 Free Relay team and an individual win from Senior Audra Brewer in the 100 (1:20.49) Breaststroke.
Girls Swimming returns to action with a meet at New Castle Thursday evening.
