The Franklin County Lady Wildcats Varsity Volleyball team was defeated by The Connersville Lady Spartans 26-24, 25-15, 25-17.
Kaitlyn Obert had 3 ace serves to lead the team for the day. Kayley Schoettelkotte led the team with 7 kills and Meredith Bohman added 5 kills. Kendall McCool had 11 assists for the day. The back row of Megan Getz, Autumn McDaniel, and Taylor McCreary dug 18 balls.
‘Hopefully the first week and four matches nerves are over and the Lady Wildcats will come to play like the coaches know they can. They are very capable of winning against Connersville. We will see them later on in the season and they will see a better team. There were some really good moments from the team. We will be seeing more and more as the season moves on. They are back in action Tuesday night as they travel to Batesville.
The JV Lady Cats won today against EIAC Connersville 25-20, 23-25, 15-13.
Kelly Layton lead the team with 4 aces. Lillie Stewart added 3 aces and 5 kills. Charlotte Barrett added 3 aces and 2 kills. Jalynn Rogers and Kelsey Vail kept the back row alive by digging hit after hit!! Way to go lady’s, this brings our record to 3-1.

The freshman girls came in strong to Connersville winning the first set. Connersville came back winning the next two sets while FC put up a good fight 19-25, 25-12, 15-11.
We were led in serves by Kloe Bolos with 9 serves and 5 aces followed by Rae Ertel with 5 serves and 2 aces. Kim Settles and Kiya Rains came in with strong passes to help the team.
The freshman volleyball team will be at Batesville on Tuesday.
