RIPLEY COUNTY, Ind. — The Ripley County Community Foundation is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
The foundation started in 1997 when a group of individuals gathered to create a permanent source of grant dollars to benefit the quality of life in Ripley County.
With the assistance of Lilly Endowment and the Rising Sun Regional Foundation, they established the Ripley County Community Foundation.
Over the past two decades, the foundation has given over $14 million to the Ripley County community.
To celebrate 20 years, the foundation will grant $2,000 each month to a different local organization that is striving to improve the quality of life of those they serve.
