A petition was started from concerned citizens protesting that the plan would impact property taxes.

The school district will give notice of a petition remonstrance.

There will be a 30 day period where neither petition can obtain signatures.

After that 30 days is up there will be 30 more days to collect signatures.

At the end of those 30 days, whichever side has the most verified signatures will prevail.
