$70,375 distributed in scholarships from the Ripley County Community Foundation

Ripley County, IN— The Ripley County Community Foundation granted $70,375 in scholarships to 65 recipients for 2020.  Of those recipients, 14 scholarships were awarded to graduates from Batesville High School, 1 from East Central High School, 4 from Jac-Cen-Del High School, 3 from Milan High School, 2 from Oldenburg Academy, 14 from South Ripley High School, and 22 scholarships were awarded to current college students.

Laura Hamilton, Program Officer of the Ripley County Community Foundation, states, “The value that scholarships provide our county’s youth go beyond measures.  For some students, it is the difference between attending the college of their dreams and/or the affordability of post-secondary education.  Our scholarships present opportunities to our students to become the next great leaders of Ripley County.”
