On Wednesday night, the 5th grade St. Louis Lady Cardinals fell to Laurel in double overtime 13-10.
Scoring for SLS were Claire Baker, Katie Hohenstein, Norah Hermesch, and Heidi Schneider.
While the Lady Cardinals started the game off slow and not overly aggressive, they changed speed the second half. Trailing by two with just eleven seconds left in regulation, the Cardinals converted on a clutch bucket following a timeout to tie the game to send the game to overtime.
Neither team scored in the first overtime. In the second overtime, Laurel got a shot to fall, ultimately giving them the 13-10 win.
The 6th-grade team routed Laurel by a final score of 29-2. Scoring for SLS were Maci Smith, Bella Watson, and Ellie Weberding,
