Brookville, In. — Three groups have teamed up to donate more than $500,000 for the proposed Brookville Aquatic Center.
The Brookville American Legion donated $1,000, Mary Lou Hertel donated $4,400 from a past fundraiser for a skateboard park and the Brookville Foundation presented a check for $500,000.
The Brookville Foundation donation is a dollar-for-dollar match from the gift left by Robert J. Hofer.
All the funds collected will be administered by the Franklin County Community Foundation.
