Jeffrey Keith Lackman, 70, of Greendale, IN, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
He was born September 16, 1953, in Cincinnati, OH, son of the late John Lackman and Betty (Kay) Lackman.
Jeff worked as an Electrical Engineer with many years of service until he retired in 2020.
He enjoyed traveling to the National Parks with the goal of traveling to all 50 states. He was very interested in history and his family’s national and local role in it, such as having an ancestor of General Sherman. He was proud of his family heritage. Jeff loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed sharing his electrical and home repair knowledge with his children. One of his favorite holidays is Memorial Day which he spends with his family. He loved to tell stories of watching Reds games at the stadium, and his traveling adventures, especially along Route 66. He will be greatly missed.
Jeff is survived by his daughters, Candice Lackman, Christina (Curt) Goodpaster, Jennifer (Lance) Allen; grandchildren, Violet Thome, Justin Allen, and Barrett Allen; siblings, Jayne (Glen) Lash, Layne Lackman, Kyle (Doug) Rife, Kevin (Mary) Lackman, Kenny (Kelli) Lackman; brother-in-law, Mark Phair; many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his close friends Gary and Lynn Krebs, who were like family and joined him on many of his traveling adventures.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Lackman; sister, Lauren Phair.
A service will be held August 3 at 3:00 at Elizabethtown Methodist Church 3471 Wayne Ave., North Bend, OH 45052 with a reception following at 6940 Summit Lake Dr. Cincinnati, OH 45247 with snacks provided.
