3 Southeast Indiana residents receive Golden Hoosier award

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, in collaboration with the Indiana Family and Social Service Administration’s Division of Aging, announced that 21 senior citizens will receive the 2018 Golden Hoosier Award.

There were more than 80 submissions from individuals across the state.

The award began in 2008 and annually honors Hoosier senior citizens for their years of service and commitment to the state.

3 of the 21 recipients are from Southeast Indiana, Michael Stephens from Versailles, Marlene Fudge from Rushville, and Ray Black from Madison.

A ceremony will be held on June 21 at the Indiana Statehouse to celebrate their achievements.
