21 new cases reported locally on Tuesday

Statewide — Despite the winter weather closing down several testing sites across the region, the Indiana State Department of Health has reported that 889 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Tuesday. A total of 650,530 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 3,057,498 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at a 21.3% positive rate and 40 new deaths were reported for a total of 11,805 Hoosiers have died across the state.

Dearborn County has a total of 5,312 cases and 62 deaths reported (up 12 new cases), Decatur County has a total of 2,681 positive cases and 88 deaths (up 3 new cases), Franklin County has 1,578 positive cases and 35 deaths (up 3 new cases), and Ripley County has 3,218 positive cases and 59 deaths (up 3 new cases and 1 new death). Locally, this is an increase of 21 new positive cases and 1 new death.
