Batesville, In. — The Southeastern Indiana Recycling District reports strong recycling participation for 2017. Residents recycled more than 1.7 million pounds, including 260,000 pounds of electronic devices.
Here are the totals by area:
- Batesville 1.1 million pounds
- Brookville 285,000 pounds
- Franklin County 185,000 pounds
- Oldenburg 96,000 pounds
- Cedar Grove 83,000 pounds
On April 7 from 8 to 10 a.m. residents can drop off household hazardous waste at the Franklin County Transfer Station and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Batesville Recycling Center.
