A field of 385 teams and 7,210 student‐athletes will begin play next week as the pairings for the 50th Annual IHSAA Baseball State Tournament Series were drawn this morning in Indianapolis.

Sectional competition begins

The Oldenburg Academy Twisters posted a 14-1 victory against The Morristown Yellow Jackets in Varsity Baseball play to improve to 7-10 on the season.

The Batesville Lady Bulldogs hosted The East Central Lady Trojans Monday night in what proved to be a hot hitting night for the Trojans.

The St Louis golf team finished off its season Monday night against South Dearborn at Hoosier Links Golf Course.

The Batesville Bulldogs JV and Connersville both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Batesville Bulldogs JV that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-2 win.

Members of the Greensburg Boys Track and Field team competed in cool temperatures Saturday morning at the Reserve EIAC meet.

The Bulldogs traveled to Greensburg on Satruday, losing 5-4, as they left the bases loaded to end the game.

Jacob Christie reached base four times in the game for the Batesville Bulldogs.
