Lady Trojans Dow Lady Spartans

EC hosted Connersville last night. JV and Varsity both won in straight sets.

We bounced back pretty well last night. The stuff we focused on in practice earlier in the week really started to show last night. But when I look back at last night, none of that really even matters. Last night, each senior honored a teacher in an attempt to thank them for all their dedication and impact they have had on them. In addition to that, two EIAC opponents came together to show support for Brooklan Phillips. Brooklan is a junior at Connersville and has been part of the volleyball team. A few months ago she was diagnosed with bone cancer. We honored by wearing yellow ribbons, making a banner that hung behind the court, collecting a basket of items to help her through her bad days, and joining in prayer after the game. This is what athletics is really about and we are proud to be part of something much bigger than the game itself.

If you want more information on Brooklan’s Battle, you can find her story at the link below:  http://www.newsexaminer.com/common/story.php?ID=46785&hl=Upside-down

Varsity is now 20-2 on the season and 10-1 in the EIAC.

Next: Connersville at their place Tuesday.
