17 new cases reported locally

Statewide — The Indiana State Department of Health has reported that 1,589 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Monday. A total of 149,166 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 1,555,437 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at a 9.5% positive rate and 23 new deaths were reported for a total of 3,727 Hoosiers have died across the state. Monday’s deaths include 11 that were recently verified through further medical review. Those deaths occurred between 9/17 and 10/3.

Dearborn County has a total of 903 cases and 28 deaths reported (up 8 new cases), Decatur County has a total of 494 positive cases and 39 deaths (up 1 new case), Franklin County has 363 positive cases and 25 deaths (up 4 new cases), and Ripley County has 417 positive cases and 8 deaths (up 4 new cases). Locally, this is an increase of 17 new positive cases.
