Gary Russell, of Moores Hill, Indiana, passed away July 9, 2017 in Dillsboro, Indiana.
He was born October 25, 1952 in Evansville, IN, son of the late Edwin and Juanita (Staiger) Russell.
Gary started his teaching career at Aurora Elementary School where he later became principal. He completed his career serving as principal at Dillsboro Elementary School. Gary loved watching sporting events and spending time with his family, especially his two best four legged friends, Buster and Rowdy.
Surviving are wife, Sharon Russell of Moores Hill, IN; two sons, Brian (Rachel) Russell of North Vernon, IN and Andy (Lauren) Russell of Charlestown, IN; brother, Bruce (Patty) Russell of Newburgh, IN; and grandchildren, Blake, Hailey, Logan and Parker Russell .
He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Juanita Russell.
Friends will be received Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 215 Fourth St, Aurora, Indiana, with Pastor Dana Stout officiating.
Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Moores Hill, Indiana.
