Eugene C. Gadley, 87, of Greensburg, IN formerly of Marienville, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his residence. Eugene was born on April 15, 1929 in Marienville, PA to Clyde M. and Mary Alice (Allio) Gadley. Eugene joined the Army and served in Korea from 1950 to 1952. He worked for Glass Containers Corp in Marienville for 33 years. He worked for the DNR Forest Service in Pennsylvania and enjoyed logging and trapping as other ways to provide for his family. He was a member of the Marienville Free Methodist Church and the Tylersburg Bible Missionary Church both in Pennsylvania, and currently attended the Clarksburg Covenant Church in Indiana. Eugene was married to Nancy Palmer on October 24, 1970 and she survives. Eugene is also survived by 2 sons; Daniel S. Kindle, Barberton, OH, Douglas E. (Joy) Gadley, Pleasantville, PA, daughter; Sharon (Daniel) Smith, Clarksburg, IN, and 2 daughters from a previous marriage; Debra and Brenda, 1 sister; Coral Gadley Evans, Conneautville, PA, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Chuck Gadley, two sisters; Opal Casset, and Ruby Lucas. Visitation will be at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 11 from 11am -1 pm. Funeral services will follow visitation on Wednesday at 1pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Smith officiating. Burial and military graveside rites will follow at Richland Cemetery in Richland, In. Memorials can be made to the Clarksburg Covenant Church.
