A semi that caught on fire around 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon forced a brief closure on I-74 in Decatur County.
The semi fire was near the eastbound 123 mile marker on I-74 between the St. Paul and Greensburg exits and lane closures caused traffic to be backed up by nearly three miles. The Indiana Department of Transportation initially thought the closure may last up to nearly four hours but cleanup and emergency crews were able to have the interstate back open within the hour.
