The SR Lady Raider Volleyball Team won in three sets tonight 25-20, 25-22, 25-17 against Rising Sun.
The first set found South Ripley behind 8-0. After a time out was called by SR, SR quickly bounced back with a run or their own to get within two. The score was close throughout, but with Rising Sun up 16-18, Tori Tucker served 8 straight to make it 24-18, RS scored two more times, but Laken Farrell served the 25th point for a SR win of 25-20.
The second set was much of the same back and forth scoring, but with perfect serving, SR took the set 25-22. The third set again was much the same throughout, Tori Tucker again took to the line with SR up 20-17, and served perfectly to end the game 25-17.
“I was very happy with our serving tonight, we were 75/75 tonight serving and you can’t get much better than 100%”. “I preach to them that if we can serve receive and serve well, then we can win a lot of games.” “We did both of those well tonight and that hopefully helps them to understand how important that is”.
