Pirates Fall To Eagles In Soccer

SoccerThe Greensburg Pirates traveled to Jac-Cen-Del and fell 6-1 to the Eagles.

The Eagles scored 3 goals early in the first half before freshman, Camden Rose, was able to answer for the Pirates. Camden took the ball down the sideline, dribbling through several Eagle defenders before being able to put the ball in the back of the net for the Pirates. The goal was Camden’s first career goal for the Pirates. The Eagles answered back twice before halftime, bringing the score to 5-1. Jac-Cen-Del was able to score one more time, off of a corner kick, bringing the final score to 6-1.

Seniors, Jake Buening, Aaron Sia and Andrew Schroeder played well throughout the second half, filling in and stepping up when needed. The seniors played tough defense while also getting up into the attack.

Greensburg is back in action on Thursday when they will travel to Franklin County. Game starts at 5PM.
