Greensburg Police Deal With Several Reports of Petty Theft

GREENSBURG – Police are reminding residents to lock their cars and homes after a string of apparent thefts in Greensburg.

Officers are investigating multiple reports of petty theft around the city and have arrested one juvenile believed to be involved in the criminal activity, the Greensburg Daily News reports.

Several of the theft reports involve a vehicle that was left unlocked and some stolen items include iPod chargers, lighters and loose change, police said.

Greensburg Police Chief Stacey Chasteen encourages residents to lock their vehicles and homes and be alert of any suspicious activity, especially in the evening hours.

She told the newspaper that citizens should report any crime even if it appears nothing was stolen.
