Greensburg man arrested for misusing 911

GREENSBURG, Ind. — A Greensburg man has been arrested after a domestic altercation. According to police, Robert Beach, 49, is facing charges of Improper Use of 911 Service and False Informing.

Police were called to the residence for a verbal domestic altercation. A witness told police that Beach calls 911 anytime he is intoxicated and agreed to stay apart.

Less than 5 minutes later officers responded to a 911 call at the same address. Beach told officers he was on the phone with 911 and wouldn’t hang up. An officer informed Beach that he could be committing a crime by misusing 911 and then left.

Around an hour later, officers returned to the residence from another 911 call. When officers investigated they found no crime and arrested Beach.
