The morning commute is a slick one on with patchy black ice being reported across the region as some roads remain below freezing Tuesday morning. Some accidents were reported on I-74.

The conditions have forced several school corporations to postpone the school day by two hours, as roadways should improve after sunrise.

National Weather Service forecasters say temperatures will approach the upper 40’s by this afternoon. As temperatures rise to above average through the weekend, melting snow could lead to flooding concerns by area creeks and rivers.

An umbrella will come in handy late Wednesday through Thursday as heavy rainfall is likely with temps near 60 degrees.
