CINCINNATI – Lawrenceburg graduate Lauren Hill got a visit at practice Tuesday morning from Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still.

Hill, 19, is suffering from terminal brain cancer. She plans to make her first appearance on the court for Mount St. Joseph University Nov. 2, as the NCAA granted an exception for the team to play their first game ahead of schedule to meet her dream to play in a college game.

Still’s daughter Leah is battling childhood cancer, and the defensive lineman was signed to the Bengals roster last month. The Bengals have donated profits from his jersey sales to pediatric cancer research.

The jersey has sold more than any other in team history, and Leah’s story has led to responses from around the world.

Tickets for Mount St. Joseph’s game against Hiram College go on sale Wednesday. Due to demand, the game will be played at the Cintas Center at Xavier University.
