Batesville Teen, Man Injured In Saturday Morning Crash

Authorities are investigating an accident that left two Batesville residents injured.

Numerous emergency personnel responders went to the scene of the crash on Delaware Road near C.R. 950 North around 2:46 a.m. on Saturday.

Investigators say the driver Jacob Davidson, 22, of Batesville was traveling south when the 1998 Chevy pickup went off the west side of the roadway and struck a nearby drainage ditch.

Karly Reverman, 16, was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extracted by emergency crews.

Both the driver and passenger were rushed to Margaret Mary Health by ambulance. Reverman was later transferred to Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati due to her injuries which were initially listed as critical.

The accident remains under investigation as investigators say speed, alcohol, and dense fog all appear to be contributing factors in the crash.
