Area Teams To Compete In Reds Futures Showcase

Three area high school teams will be participating in the third annual Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase presented by Safeco Insurance this spring.

The Batesville Bulldogs, South Dearborn Knights and Lawrenceburg Tigers will be three of 72 teams across the Tri-State showcasing their talent in the third annual event.

There will be 36 games played from March 29 to April 27 at some of the top baseball complexes in the Cincinnati area.

Local teams will play on Wednesday, April 2:

  • Batesville vs. South Dearborn, 4:30 p.m. (Harrison High School)
  • Harrison vs. Lawrenceburg, 7 p.m. (Harrison High School)

Tickets for the Reds Futures High School Showcase games are $5. Each ticket includes a free View Level ticket to select 2014 Reds games at Great American Ball Park and also a coupon for one free Skyline Chili cheese coney.

An MVP from each of the 36 games will be recognized on field during pregame ceromonies prior to the Reds game on Sunday, May 4.

Stayin’ Alive and Franklin County Law Enforcement Agencies invite you to participate in the 32nd Annual National Night Out crime and drug prevention event on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. There will be a free cookout that begins at 6:00 p.m. and will continue until 8:00 p.m. at the Cedar Grove Fire Department. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.  Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, and cookouts.
