Youth Cards and Trojans Battle It Out On The Court

The 5th Grade St. Louis Boys Basketball hosted St. Nicholas Monday night. St. Nicholas took an early lead and were ahead after the first quarter 8-7. St. Louis fought back and had the lead at halftime 19-17. St. Nicholas was able to outscore the Cards in the third quarter and the quarter ended 21-25 St. Nicholas. St. Louis put up a good fight in the fourth quarter but couldn’t come back. The final score was 24-33 in favor of St. Nicholas. Caleb Mohr lead the scoring with 8 points, Jaiden Kuria had 7, Aiden Greiwe and Tyler Reder had 4 each and Ben Greiwe had 1 point. Come out and cheer on the Cardinals when they host St. Michaels Thursday (12-6) @ 6:00 PM. Courtesy of Cardinals Coach Tim Reder.

The St. Louis Cardinals 6th Grade Boys Basketball team took on St. Nicholas on Monday, December 3rd and the game came down to the wire with St. Nicholas winning 17-14.  The Cardinals were led in scoring by Ben Miller with 6 points followed by Max Amberger with 4 points and Adam Meer and Christian Mack each with 2 points.  St. Louis was led in rebounding by Amberger and Meer each with 4.  Sam Laloge had 3 rebounds, followed by Marc Meneses, Ryan Duerstock, and Sully Hill with 2 a piece.  Henry Wanstrath led the team in steals with 3 followed by Duerstock with 2.  The boys are back at again on Thursday, December 6th when they play St. Michael at home.  Courtesy of Cardinals Coach Ryan Tekulve.
