Work Planned on U.S. 50 Near Aurora

(Dearborn County, IN) – INDOT contractor Paul H. Rohe Company is scheduled to begin a pavement rehabilitation project in Dearborn County on U.S. 50 west of Aurora on or after Tuesday, April 1.

Work will take place on U.S. 50 between State Road 350 and Dutch Hollow Road.

The project is expected to be complete in early November, weather permitting.

During Phase 1, all traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lanes of U.S. 50 using temporary crossovers while westbound construction is in progress.

During construction, U.S. 50 will be reduced to 35 mph, and an 11-foot lane width reduction will be in effect.

Additional traffic shifts will take place while overall work is in progress. INDOT says it will continue to provide information and updates as work progresses.

This work is part of a $8.7 million contract awarded to Rohe in February 2025.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.

All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
